WHAT IS GAZETTE?

gazette is a Federal/State Government official notification. (Section 2, Act 88).

"A gazette" is an official publication of public notices issued by the Government. For Malaysia, this is inclusive of the Government’s official gazettes that are published online in electronic or any other form by the Government as stated under Sub-section 18 (3), including any State Official Gazette (Section 3, Act 288).

"gazette" is defined as a Federal Official gazette and State that also includes amendment and any other gazette other than the normal one. (Section 66, Act 388).

FEDERAL GAZETTE

No law can be enforced except when it has been published (already been gazetted) (Article 66 (55)) Federal Statutory.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF A GAZETTE

Bill information must be kept private and confidential before proceeding for first review at the ‘Dewan Rakyat’ and Parliament and it will be officially published to the public once it is approved by the Parliament.

PNMB’S ROLE

As the appointed printers of Government Gazettes by the Malaysian Government, PNMB ensures that all Government Gazettes will be produced according to the required published date and delivered according to requirements by law.

SERVICE FEE

Service Fee to gazette documents for Housing Development Act (HDA) 1966 is RM120 per page.
